Welcome to The Early Years

EYFS at Dial Park Primary School
From 2 - 5 years old

' I have nothing but absolute praise for the early years at Dial Park. All 3 of my children have started from 2yo group all the way up to reception and they loved/love it just as much as I do! Thanks so much for your patience and time you all spent with Joel and helping him build his confidence and his relationships with the staff and all his classmates. Some of their best memories are from Early Years at Dial Park & my youngest is still making them now. The communication and daily updates on the Dojo/Tapestry is always great too.' - A Great review from one of our parents.

Closing date for school applications is 15th January

Our Award Winning Early Years

Dial Park Early Years has been presented with the Associate Partnership Award by the Early Years Improvement Team at Stockport Council as an example of exemplary practice in the Early Years. This means that we are in a position to offer support and guidance to other schools and nursery's in Stockport who are wanting to improve their early years provision.

Early Years practice at Dial Park has been developed through research and evidence into best practice, which enables us to provide an excellent early experience for our children.

We are intentionally inclusive and all children are warmly welcomed by caring, nurturing and knowledgeable staff into an environment that sparks their curiosity and develops their independence. The children are active learners within quality first teaching sessions as well as whilst exploring their enabling environment where play is purposeful,

Strong relationships and excellent communication with parents is at the heart of our ethos, working together as a team is extremely important to us as you join us on your child's educational journey within the Dial Park family.

Our partnerships with Startwell, Portage and Offerton Early Years Workers enable us to provide early support to our families through a babbling babies group and also our baby and toddler group.

High ratio of qualified experienced staff to the number of children in the classes.

The Best Balance Approach

The Dial Park Early Years team have developed The Best Balance Approach which takes the best practise and pedagogy from leading experts from the past and present to provide the best learning experiences and opportunities for our children. We strive to create “awe and wonder” through providing rich and meaningful learning experiences in a warm and inviting setting.

The Curiosity Approach and Hygge in the Early Years influence the team greatly in the stimulating environments we provide.

Inspirational is what we aspire to be for the children, for ourselves and for other settings.

Our inclusive environment and unique child centred approach results in all children achieving and making fantastic progress in their crucial first years in education.

Three Year Curriculum EYFS

In the Early Years we follow a three year curriculum so that all the children can work together and cover different themes from the 2 year olds through to the end of Reception. This way the children will not repeat any topics throughout their time in Early Years.

This enables us to ensure our activities and environment continues to be new and exciting for our children throughout their time during the early years. Our Best Balance Approach means that we can balance the school led curriculum hand in hand with the Statutory Early Years Foundation Stage. We also follow the children's ideas and interests to bring learning to life, supporting the seven areas of learning whilst keeping each and every unique child at the heart of everything we do.
